One Year!

We've now been married for a full year! Wow - not sure where the last year of our lives has gone, but it's been a good one! Jon and I spent the weekend in Asheville, NC to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed at a beautiful bed & breakfast on 100 acres of land on the side of a mountain - a perfect quiet getaway. We also visited the Grove Park Inn for dinner on their Sunset Terrace. There's no denying the beauty of Asheville - the hazy, rolling mountaintops are always in view and the city itself has great artsy character.

We came home on Sunday night to finally break into that cake that's been sitting in the freezer since last June! Yum - it tasted as good as it did 365 days ago! I guess technically we're no longer "newlyweds" after the first year, but Jon tells me that we can keep the status for another year. So, here's to another year of newlywedded bliss. I'm lucky to be married to such a great man!! :) Thanks to all of you who remembered our special day with cards, emails, and phone calls. It means a lot to us to have friends & family who care so much!

Happy Anniversary!!!

You two actually ate the cake? We kept ours until we realized there was no way we wanted to eat it. Impressive that yours still tasted good!

Eric and I actually ate our topper the day after our wedding! Neither one of us stopped to eat our cake at the reception so we couldn't wait to chow down on some! Do we have bad luck now because we jumped the gun?! So far so good at least!

Happy Anniversary to you both! I was even at your beautiful wedding and I still forgot to congratulate you. Time FLIES!

We should have eaten our cake the next day! It was so good at our wedding, but we only got the little bite that we fed eachother. We've been drooling over that frozen package for a year. Mmmm, mmmm GOOD!

HA! We did feed our cake to each other on our wedding day, I remember that! But I didn't remember how good it was from that one bite, so we just had to dig in! Well Jules, at least you'll have good luck or whatever good things happen when you wait a year to eat your topper. ;)
