Love and Marriage
We're back from the honeymoon and I've been a "Mrs." for nearly 3 weeks now! Jon and I are only now beginning to get our feet back under us after the whirlwind previous month. We had a beautiful wedding on June 17th - sunshine and not a spot of rain (nevermind the 95 degree weather!). It was such fun to see all the details we have all dreamed up finally come together on that day (thanks to the help of some wonderful friends and family). I felt like I was walking around in a dream - it didn't hit me that it was all real until I was about to walk down the aisle (and then it *really* hit me!). The day went by far too fast, of course. I left the reception wishing that I had just a few more hours to get around to talk to more people or dance to a few more songs. It was overwhelming to be with people from all corners of our lives gathered in one place. We had guests traveling from as far away as Australia, and many others from more than a dozen states in the U.S. Talk about humbling!! I can't believe so many people would go to so much effort to be there for us! What fun! Alas, the fairytale wedding had to come to an end eventually.

Lucky for us, we got to take off for a fairytale 11 day honeymoon the next day! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Marriott's CasaMagna Resort in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Now THAT is good Mexican food! Yum!! Some of the highlights were jet skiing in Banderas Bay, rapelling in the Sierra Madre Mountains, snorkeling with Jon (his first time!), and watching the beautiful sunsets each night. It was tough to board the plane back to the US, but Jon had another week of vacation once we returned, so we just extended the honeymoon for another week in Oxford, Ohio! Now Jon is back at work and I am officially a "housewife" - Ha!! ...at least until we move and I start my new job! More updates on that to come in my next post... :)
