Rings 'n things

We've got wedding bands now - does that make us married?!? I wish! Jon and I had another marathon wedding day in Dayton today. This morning we picked up our wedding bands at the jeweler. I tried to convince Jon to let us wear them around today and just "try them out" but that was a "no-go" from him. :(


We also picked up our invitations today. We worked with a small "stationery boutique" in Centerville to design our own invitation. Despite a minor assembly mistake, I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. They look fantastic!!! The shop owners actually liked our design so much that they now have it hanging on the wall of their store as a sample piece. We're famous...kind of. :)


Last stop on this wedding train - rehearsal dinner location. We tried out a different restaurant and think we've found a winner. It's been a challenge to find a nice restaurant with a private room that's within reasonable driving distance of the church. The place we ended up with tonight is a "peasant Italian" restaurant. The food meets my authenticity seal of approval!


I think we're now officially on hold with wedding-related things until April. The crazy time of the semester for me is quickly approaching. We are almost at mid-term, which means lots of papers to grade and lots more to write. Then I will be gone for nearly two weeks in March at each of the two student affairs national conferences - doing two presentations with Matt & Dave and hopefully interviewing for jobs as well. Conferences will be quickly followed by my comprehensive exams at the end of the month. March will be crazy busy, but April is my light at the end of the tunnel! Springtime and semester wrap-up! :)
