Thanksgiving Festivities

Another Thanksgiving Day in the Dickman household! It was a quieter than usual holiday for us - just my parents, me, and Gracie. We had a fun and relaxing day with LOTS of good food. :) One of the highlights of the day was watching OU's Marching 110 perform in the Macy*s parade. They were AWESOME out there doing the funk in Herald Square. It was a proud moment for OU alums everywhere!

The mega-American tradition of "Black Friday" turned out to be WHITE Friday for me! I found my wedding dress! My Mom and I spent the better part of the day at bridal shops looking through quite possibly hundreds of white dresses to find the perfect one. When I began this process, I had no idea just how overwhelming it would be to find a wedding gown. You walk into these small, cozy stores and they point you in the direction of large racks packed end-to-end with white dresses. After about ten minutes they all start to look alike! Well, I was just about to give up when we finally hit the jackpot! We found a cute store in Springboro that had several amazing dresses - the difficulty then became narrowing down the options! Each one told a different "story" and I loved them all. We spent over 3 hours in this store, but finally walked out with an order in our hands. That was an exciting moment! I wish I could describe the dress, but sorry, that one's a secret! :)
