Happy Valentine's Day!
Another fun Valentine's Day has come and gone. I particularly love being on a college campus on this day - it's fun to watch guys walking across campus with large bouquets in hand on the way to being delivered to someone special! Jon & I actually celebrated together on Sunday because both of our Tuesday nights were completely booked. Tonight's "valentine's" evening consisted of back-to-back meetings from 1-9:30pm for me. I enjoyed a special dinner of fast food at my desk while grading papers in between meetings. I can't complain though - I've actually had three days of celebration this year! Just a few of the things that made Valentine's Day 2006 special:
-Jon sneaking over and bringing me scrambled eggs and heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast on Sunday!
-NANO!!!!!! what an amazing surprise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-Going to church at Crossroads with friends
-Amazing lunch at The Cheesecake Factory with Jon! Mmmmm....blackout cake...
-Opening my mailbox today to find a delivery from Mom in Boston!!
-V-day email greetings from friends :)
-A large box of cookies from my home church waiting for me on my doorstep
-Having an excuse to wear my favorite red sequin heart shirt and bring heart-shaped cupcakes to work
-Sugar overload, in general. Every single meeting & class I had today involved mass quantities of sugar!
-Getting to celebrate for 3 days!
Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!!
