What makes you cry in the grocery?

UDF ice cream - in North Carolina - makes ME cry in the grocery store!

Long time readers of my blog know of my deep love for UDF ice cream (and milkshakes); however, our move to North Carolina has placed us at least 8 hours away from the nearest place to purchase such yummy goodness. Well, 2009 has been good to me already because a new market in Chapel Hill is now carrying Homemade ice cream (the UDF brand). Seriously, tears of joy formed in my eyes when I spotted this container from across the store. I wasn't even shopping for ice cream, but a magnetic pull drew my eyes toward the frozen case as I was checking out. We love milkshakes, and the best milkshakes are made with UDF ice cream. Yippee!!!! Now we just need to get other Ohio favorites like Mio's and Graeter's to make their way to NC, then we'll never need to leave!

Like heaven! UDF peanut butter milkshakes got me through college! Definitely the best thing the state of Ohio has going for it... ;)

Fresh Market in Chapel Hill! They had nearly a dozen flavors, too. Seriously, happiest day ever!

Uncle Dave and I just returned from a visit in Cincinati with Brian and Stacy for two days and made it to UDF twice. Yummy!! They aren't in Michigan either.

apparently it's in fresh markets nationwide... my sister in Atlanta said that they'll buy it every now and then but it's really expensive.
