Double Whammy!

Today began and ended with two deep blows to our emotional stability. First, we found out that our beloved Skybus airlines has ceased to exist (effective immediately). Not only is this painful because I have been singing the praises of Skybus to all of my friends for months now, but it is also a severe financial hit. All of our upcoming trips for this summer (yes, ALL of them) were booked on Skybus. So, not only are we out the $$ already spent to purchase our original airline tickets, but we now also have to shell out more $$ to purchase new (and likely much more expensive) tickets on a different airline. Ouch!

Then, tonight we were forced to watch the sloppy tumble of our beloved Tar Heels off the top of their pedestal in the Final Four. At least we watched the game in the company of several other Carolina fans, so we could console one another in our pain. It was such a good run, and we've had an incredible amount of fun enjoying March Madness in the wonderfully spirited community of Chapel Hill. However, it just wasn't meant to be this year. Double Ouch!

oh man! double ouch big time! I know I give other ACC teams a hard time, but I was actually was silently pulling for UNC to win. At least they came back and made it a game, from what I heard it started ugly.

Sorry to hear about Skybus too! I wonder why they went under? maybe 10 dollar tickets weren't that good of an idea.

Sorry about Skybus. Aloha and ATA went out this week, bringing our ticket price to $1722 for our trip to finalize the adoption in August. Ouch, ouch, ouch.

We had NC going all the way, so it was sad to see them tumble.

I'm totally bummed about UNC too. I was pulling for them. I got so frustrated that I couldn't even finish the game. Oh well...you win some and you lose some.

That stinks about your airline tix. Where are you two heading this summer? I can only imagine!

Should have figured that $10 tix across the country were too good to be true! ;) Our summer plans included a weekend in Chicago, two trips to OH, and vacation in California. Boo Skybus! :(
